Here is an Ancestral Clearing Prayer for Mistakes and Missing Things.
Higher Power, Great Spirit, Divine Mother, God, Infinite Oneness, Holy Father: You are known by so many names and You are One. We thank You for the countless blessings you shower upon us. We ask humbly and gratefully for us and all our ancestors and all their relations through all space, time, dimension, realms, lifetimes, and incarnations:
For those who were lost to us
For all the times family members and friends were lost to us; for the times loved ones left for work and never returned and we never knew what happened; for the times we searched and searched for a loved one and never found them, or found that they had already perished; for the times we mourned the loss of loved ones and felt the frustration of not being able to understand what happened; for any time we raised our fists at You and blamed You for what happened, including blaming You for our suffering, and for anytime we turned our backs on You altogether – please help us to forgive one another and forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For mistakes and the price paid for our errors
For the times we made mistakes and others paid the price for our errors, and for all we made it mean about ourselves, others, the community or the tribe, life and even You, Higher Power – please help us all to forgive one another and to forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any time we did all we could to help someone who was ill and they died despite our best efforts, and for all the powerlessness, let down, and despair we felt as a result – please help us to forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For times when the world crumbled down
For any time we said to ourselves, “I’m missing something and it will be the end of me… or of us,” and we witnessed the demise of someone, the family business, the family itself, the community livelihood, the community, or witnesses what we perceived as the whole world crumbling down in front of us — please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves, and please forgive us for any anger or fury we felt for You, Higher Power. Please and thank You.
For mistakes in communication
For all medical errors, miscarriage of justice, confusion around spiritual truths, mistaken identity, misfiling, or misclassifications, for any form of communication sent but that was misdirected either knowingly or unknowingly and for all that arose because the message did not get through to the person or party is was intended for. Please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For mistakes that led to injury
For all mistakes, misunderstandings, disagreements, arguments, misreadings or misconceptions that arose and led to insult or injury of any kind, including disputes, fights, riots, raids, battles, wars, holocaust or outright extermination — please help us all to forgive one another and to forgive ourselves – now and forever, for all that happened, no matter what it was. Please help us, for once and for all, release the burden of the heartache and suffering around these events and all that emanated into our lineage as a result. Please help us all find peace with one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
Please fully feel, realize, and actualize the love You eternally fill us with and help us spread it freely and unconditionally to others. Now and forever.
