Here is an ancestral clearing prayer for letting go and new beginnings.
Oh Creator, Divine Spirit, Mother, Father, Source of All That Is – we love You and we thank You for Your eternal and unconditional love for us. Thank You for showering us with Your ever-bountiful blessings. We ask You, for all of us and our relations, and all our ancestors and all their relations, throughout all time, space, dimensions, and all realms –
For all the times our loved ones transitioned from here and all the longing and grief any of us felt about their passing – please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves. Please help us to forgive You, Divine Spirit, for any time we held such events against You in any way in our hearts. Please forgive us for harboring such thoughts about You. Please and thank You.
For any time we experienced injustice, indignation, dismissiveness, or negativity of any kind, and for any time we did this to others, whether knowingly or unknowingly – please help us all forgive each other, be forgiven, and forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any time we doubted one another or ourselves, and for any time we doubted Your path for us – please help us all to forgive and be forgiven. Please and thank You.
For any time we tried to shake off old unhealthy habits and bring in new healthy ones, yet could not find the power to keep from slipping back into old behaviors, and all that arose from this, including frustration, anger, feelings of powerlessness and futility, towards ourselves, each other, and You, Divine Spirit – please help us all to forgive and be forgiven. Please and thank You.
For any time we railed against the inevitability of change, or we felt the tension of others around not wanting to change, but having to anyway, and anything that we did to anyone as a result of our stubbornness – please help us all to forgive each other and be forgiven. Please and thank You.
Please help us to discover the well of love that lives in each of us. Help us to find that great store of courage deep within us and help us to clearly hear the calling of our hearts. Please help us find peace and love– with ourselves and each other. Now and forever.
