Here is a forgiveness prayer for releasing unresolved anger.
Creator, Divine Spirit, Holy Mother, Great Father, Oneness, All That Is – You are known by many names. We thank You for showering us with Your blessings. We humbly ask for ourselves and all our ancestors and all their relations, through all space, time, dimension, realms, lives, lifetimes, and incarnations –
For all the times we felt anger and vented it towards another, and for all the pain and trauma it caused, for the times others did this towards us, and for times we did this to ourselves – help us all to forgive one another and to forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For the times we witnessed our parents’ wrath, whether directed at us, other family members, each other, or themselves, and all that arose in our lives because of it – please help us all to forgive each other and forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For the times parents or other caretakers were unable to give healthy and nurturing support to us as we were growing up, and all we made it mean about ourselves. Please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For the times we believed the negative things our caretakers said about us in anger were true about us, and for how it weighed us down and kept us from owning our power and purpose in the world – please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For the times we shut down and gave up trying, feeling all is lost, after we felt the anger, bullying, or distain from our parents, teachers, or other caretakers, and for all the anger any of us carried because we didn’t know how to deal with it and all that followed from it – please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves – for all of it. Please and thank You.
For the times we were withstood the ire of any leaders, be they community, civic, religious, medical, governmental, or any other kind, and for the times we fell subject to the harsh decisions they made in anger, and for any time we did this to others – please help us all to forgive each other and forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any misguided decisions we made in anger and haste because of our inability to handle anger in a healthy way, or times others did this to us, and all that followed forward in the lineage because of these decisions – please help us to all forgive one another and ourselves, no matter what happened. Please and thank You.
For accidents that happened during or right after we got uncontrollably angry, or times we witnessed or were subject to accidents when others got angry – and all we made it mean about us, them, anger, and our emotions – please help us all forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any time we turned anger, bullying, or judgment of any kind in towards ourselves – please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves. Please and thank You.
Please help us see one another and ourselves through Your eyes. Please help us release one another and ourselves from any resentment around anger and the resulting events in our lineage.
