Higher Power, Creator, Holy Mother, Great Father, Divine Spirit, Infinite, Universe – You are known by many names and You are One. We thank you for Your unconditional, ever-present love for us. It is through You that we carry the promise, the potential, the challenges, and the unresolved burdens or our lineage. We ask You humbly for us and all our ancestors through all time, space, dimensions, realms, and lifetimes:
For the times any of us felt we couldn’t go on and took the ultimate step ending our life, please help us to forgive each other and to forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any time we or our loved one or other relations felt our lives thrown into chaos, torn asunder, devastated, and never recovered from suicide – please help us all to forgive each other, anyone and everyone involved, and to forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
For any time we were consumed by low self-esteem, feelings of unworthiness, or self-loathing, and for any time others projected these feelings onto us – please help us all to forgive one another and to forgive ourselves – for everything that happened, no matter what. Please and thank You.
For any and all judgment we or others felt or spoke of around the act of suicide or events leading up to it – please help us all to forgive one another and ourselves – please and thank You.
For any time anyone had trouble understanding what happened to cause a suicide and all the angst, worry, and anxiety that arose because of such difficulty – please help us all to forgive each other and ourselves. Please and thank You.
For all the guilt we felt, however misplaced, because of someone’s suicide, for the sorry, the forlorn, the feelings of rejection, and loneliness – please help us all to forgive each other and to forgive ourselves. Please and thank You.
Please help us to deepen into compassion and love for one another and for ourselves. Please help us to see each other and ourselves through Your eyes, Higher Power – now and forever.
