Down by the River
Down by the river
I shed my skin
let go my tears
dropped my fears
among the stones
splashed my feet
in sacred waters
let them be washed clean.
Out by the tree
I pressed my skin
let go my separateness
dropped my aloneness
among the leaves
rested my feet
in the mosses
let them be soothed clean.
Up in the sky
I exposed my skin
let go my earthly desires
dropped my expectations
among the stars
rested my soul
between nebulae
forever merged in Oneness.
