Here is a peacemaking for childhood wounds using the power of an Ancestral Clearing prayer.
Creator, Great Spirit, God, Higher Power, Divine Being, Holy Father, Infinite One – You are known by many names and You are One. We thank You for the countless blessings you bestow upon us and for Your infinite and unconditional love. We ask humbly and gratefully, for us and all of our ancestors through all time, space, dimension, realms, lifetimes, and incarnations:
For all the times we were put down emotionally by our parents, siblings, teachers, friends
and for our silence when it happened, how we stifled our voice and for the shame we took on, and for any time our actions made others feel this way – please help us all to forgive one another and forgive ourselves.

For the times we felt slights from others,
for the times we felt dismissed without explanation and for any time we turned our backs on others; for any time we were badgered or bullied and we shrank into ourselves unable to stand in our power, and for any time we pressed or bullied others – please help us all to forgive each other and to forgive ourselves.

For all the secrets we were told to keep, secrets we made others keep about us, and secrets we kept about ourselves,
all the difficulty in navigating relationships and life because of the pressure of keeping secrets; for the times we didn’t follow our inner knowing, lost track of our inner child and the needs therein – please help us all to forgive each other and to forgive ourselves.

For any time we were injured and hid it from others for fear of being seen as weak,
and for all the suffering we endured because of it; for any time we injured others and did not realize it, yet it affected our relationships negatively and we never understood why and for all the confusion and heartache that followed – please help us all to forgive one another and forgive ourselves.

For the times we wandered off in wonder and curiosity of the world and became lost to our family or friends,
never to find them again; for any time we were abandoned, abandoned others, or abandoned ourselves; for all the confusion, terror, grief and loss from arguments, fights, battles, or wars, including holocaust and exterminations – please help us all to forgive one another and forgive ourselves for all that happened no matter what it was. Help us to forgive one another, release one another and forgive and release ourselves once and for all.
