Day 7 ~ Dawn:
I rise hearing the steady cadence of the local crickets and their brethren. We had a generous rain shower last night…our blessedly gentle part of what was left of hurricane Otto, at least for this area. We are in the midst of a great cloud embrace here. The forest seems a little sleepy this morning, its inhabitants rising a little later than in other days.
What a time this has been. I will leave a part of my heart in this magical place, what seems to me a vortex of such powerful and vibrant life force. I am not able to adequately summon the words for the vibe here, only soak in every nectar drop of its essence the best I can. What an honor. Bows and more bows.
I have experienced way deeper into the depths of the physical, mental, and spiritual beings within. I just love how when I do a yoga set, when I walk off my mat the Divine presents the exact lesson to me in the ‘real’ world that the yoga set was trying to teach. Never fails. And I truly believe that if I didn’t have such powerful synchronous experiences, I would not stay in this practice. But that is not how this stuff works. I do my practice and achieve a tangible result on the mat and then take that tool into the world with me. I walk in the world confident that the Universe has my back. It is a deep and profound knowing. Would that I could bottle such a thing, but that’s not quite how it works. The long line of teachers that came before us blazed a trail for us to follow. Key to their teaching is turning and facing, probing and digging deeply within to open to consciousness and the soul.
I leave here with much better developed muscles in every part of my back and legs just from climbing the 126 substantial stairs from my cabin to Sky Hall where we do our practice…several times a day! For those of you that know my story, you will remember that just 3 1/2 short years ago I could barely navigate 1 or 2 steps, and then only with pain. If my journey from there to this moment is not a testament that the body wants to heal, I don’t know what is. If my experience is not an example of how the Divine Spirit brings grace, then ….I have come to the place where I expect miracles. They happen all around me and within me all the time…eternally…I need only open my inner eyes and inner ears to see and hear them. I sign off for now. Sat Nam, my sweet friends. #ReportFromTheBack40 #BlueZone #Recovery2.0 #BlueSpirit #kippinitreal
